Facilities Laborer

Status: Part-Time (20 hours/week)
Reports To: Lacey Felts, Operations Senior Director/ Facilities Coordinator

Position Overview

The Part-Time Facilities Laborer is responsible for maintaining our facilities to support the organization’s needs. This includes daily custodial tasks, maintenance, and minor improvements indoors and outdoors. The role also involves preparing facilities for ministry departments and events, collaborating with the Facilities Coordinator, Senior Director of Operations, vendors, contract laborers, staff, and volunteers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for staff and visitors.
  • Maintain inventory checklists for facility supplies.
  • Organize storage areas and maintain tools and equipment.
  • Assist with setup and teardown as needed.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as the on-campus point of contact for facility needs.
  • Build relationships with staff, volunteers, and vendors for efficient support of ministry opportunities.
  • Uphold high standards of excellence for the Facilities Department and ensure the overall appearance and functionality of the facilities is maintained daily.
  • Utilize effective communication tools and practices.

Spiritual Qualifications

  • A committed follower of Jesus Christ, actively growing in faith and aligned with the church’s statement of faith, mission, and vision.
  • Demonstrates integrity, humility, and the values of servant leadership.
  • Passionate about empowering people to live abundant lives in Christ.
  • Shows a clear calling to support church ministry, aligning with the mission and vision of One Church Home.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years in facilities maintenance or a related field preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Experience in lawn care or landscaping is a plus.
  • Proficiency in a trade skill is a plus.

Personal Attributes

  • Strong communication and organizational skills; able to multitask.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Efficient in completing tasks on schedule.

Work Hours & Compensation

  • This is a part-time position with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
