Job Openings

Part-Time Bookkeeping Assistant

The part-time Bookkeeping Assistant is responsible for supporting daily financial operations, focusing on accounts payable and general bookkeeping tasks. This includes processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, assisting with financial reconciliations, and reporting, completing bank runs, and recording incoming income. The assistant will work closely with the finance team to ensure timely payments, accurate data entry, and compliance with company policies. This role requires excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and discretion when handling confidential information. The Bookkeeping Assistant will also provide administrative support to the department as needed and help streamline financial processes for efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and code invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment schedules.
  • Enter financial data and maintain up-to-date records for all transactions.
  • Perform regular bank runs for deposits and other banking tasks.
  • Accurately record all incoming donations and income and ensure proper allocation in financial systems.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for audits and internal reviews.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payments, discrepancies, and account information.
  • Maintain organized digital and paper filing systems for financial documents.
  • Assist with other bookkeeping and administrative tasks as assigned and are not limited to the duties listed above.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as the on campus point of contact for general AP and AR needs.
  • Build relationships with staff, hosts, and vendors for efficient support of ministry opportunities.
  • Uphold high standards of excellence for the Finance Department and ensure the overall stewardship is applied daily.
  • Utilize effective communication tools and practices.

Spiritual Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a related field preferred.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, QB Online) is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products; knowledge of other financial tools is a plus (Planning Center Giving, Square, Stripe, etc.)
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication skills; able to interact with vendors and staff professionally.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Work Schedule & Compensation

Part-time position: 10–15 hours per week. Flexible scheduling may be available based on department needs and should be approved by the Finance Director. Applicant will be required to accurately track hours worked according to company policies. Compensation based on experience.

Childcare Team Member

The Childcare Team Member provides safe, loving care for children (birth–5th grade)
during church events. This includes supervising children, leading age-appropriate activities, maintaining a clean environment, and communicating with parents.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in children’s ministry or education preferred
  • Background check and abuse awareness training required (age 18+)
  • Completion of safety policy training before first shift
  • Heart of the House required within 3 months of hire
  • Minimum age is 15 years at time of hire.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety and well-being of children during events
  • Engage kids with stories, games, and crafts
  • Maintain a clean and organized space
  • Follow all Children’s Ministry safety protocols
  • Communicate with parents and support team needs

Work Hours & Compensation

  • This is an as-needed position which may include evenings and weekends for church events.
  • Rate of pay will be $20 per hour.
